Everybody's now talking about filming in Malta, you know, all the US studios. I mean, apart from the amazingly good tax incentive, it's the crews there in Malta. The weather is always good, the facilities are there and amazing locations, particularly if you're doing a period film.

We arrived with a tight schedule and left with a film we are proud of. The festival opened doors to people we would never have met otherwise.

The light here does half the work for you. Between the locations and the crews, it is one of the easiest places in the region to shoot well.

As a sales agent I watch where talent gathers, and the Mediterrane has quickly become a fixture on the calendar. The conversations are serious and the deals follow.

The industry programme is generous with its time. You leave with notebooks full of contacts and a much clearer sense of how a film travels across the basin.
