Mornings with the makers — directors, cinematographers and editors unpack the craft behind the year’s most talked-about films.

Each masterclass pairs a leading film-maker with a curator for ninety minutes of close analysis: sequences are stopped, re-run and pulled apart frame by frame. Sessions are open to all accredited delegates and capped to keep the room intimate enough for questions.

Held daily at the Valletta Campus auditorium. Full speaker line-up and booking open to delegates in May.

Afternoon conversations on the forces shaping Mediterranean cinema — financing, co-production and distribution across borders.

Our panels bring together producers, funders, sales agents and festival programmers to debate the questions the region is wrestling with: how stories cross from one shore to another, where the money is moving, and what audiences are actually watching.

Free to attend with industry accreditation. Recordings are shared with delegates after the festival.

Hands-on labs for emerging talent — pitch your project, refine a script, and meet the people who can help make it.

Across the week, small-group workshops cover everything from the first treatment to the final grade. Selected participants join a guided pitch lab, receive mentorship from established practitioners, and present to a room of producers and financiers on the closing day.

Application required. A limited number of travel bursaries support first-time delegates from across the basin.
